Ukrainian forces repel over 160 enemy attacks in a single day

Over the past day, Ukrainian forces repelled 164 combat engagements across various sectors of the front.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukraine’s air force, missile troops, and artillery struck seven areas of enemy personnel concentration, as well as one artillery system.

Despite heavy losses, Russian forces continue to carry out large-scale attacks across Ukraine, using a wide range of weapons.

On the previous day, Russian forces launched 75 airstrikes, deploying 250 guided aerial bombs (KABs) against civilian areas and Ukrainian military positions.

They have shown particular activity in the use of unmanned aerial vehicles. Over the past day, more than 10,000 kamikaze drones were recorded, along with more than 3,600 shelling incidents, over a hundred of which involved multiple launch rocket systems.

The most difficult situation remains on the Pokrovsk axis, where Ukrainian troops repelled 32 assault attempts near Rodynske, Pokrovsk, and Udachne.

Russian forces are attempting to break through defensive lines but are being met with strong resistance and are suffering significant losses in both equipment and personnel.

Heavy fighting was also recorded on the Huliaipole axis, where 18 attacks took place. The settlements of Pryluky, Dobropillia, and Zaliznychne came under enemy fire, as Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back superior forces.

On the Kostiantynivka axis, Russian forces carried out 20 attacks near Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Sofiivka. Ukrainian artillery and infantry are operating in coordination, turning enemy advances into repeated setbacks.

The Lyman and Kupiansk axes also remain active combat zones, with a combined total of 14 attacks. Attempts to break through near Hrekivka and Petropavlivka were detected in time and neutralized by Ukrainian firepower.

On the Prydniprovske axis, Russian forces made five attempts to assault Ukrainian positions near the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island. All attacks were repelled, forcing them to retreat to their original positions with losses.

Russian aircraft also bombed border areas in the Zaporizhzhia and Sumy regions. Strikes with guided bombs on the settlements of Kushuhum, Mykilske, and Fotovyzh indicate the continued use of tactics targeting civilian infrastructure.

Ukrainian forces also carried out strikes in Crimea and in rear areas held by Russian forces.

Earlier, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Russia’s strategic objective is to seize additional territory to create a so-called “buffer zone” within the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces are also adapting military training to better counter drones and modern battlefield threats.
