Since the evening of 3 March, Russian occupiers have carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, deploying 149 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas types and other drones. As of the morning of 4 March, Ukrainian air defence had neutralised 129 enemy drones. The attack is ongoing.

This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to the military, the drones were launched from Russian cities including Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from temporarily occupied Crimea. Around one hundred of the drones were strike drones of the Shahed type.

The aerial attack was repelled by aviation, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare units, UAV countermeasures, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.

Over the same 24-hour period, Russian forces attacked more than ten times with drones and shelled the Kamianske, Synelnykove, Samar and Nikopol districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region, causing damage to civilian infrastructure.

Russian troops also carried out 624 strikes on 36 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result of attacks on the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts, two people were injured.

Additionally, on the afternoon of 3 March, Russian occupation forces struck the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region with a Geran-2 type drone.
