Drones attacked the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation and disrupted airport operations

Last night, the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation came under a massive drone attack, resulting in restrictions on the operation of strategic facilities.

The main strike again targeted the area around the Ust-Luga seaport, where numerous explosions and the activation of air defense systems were reported.

According to official data from Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdov, the attack began around 4 a.m.

The Russian side claims that air defense systems allegedly managed to intercept a significant number of aerial targets.

Due to the threat from the air, the Russian command was forced to implement the “Carpet” plan, which led to significant restrictions on aviation operations.

Special security measures affected major transportation hubs: specifically, Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg and Khrabrovo Airport in the Kaliningrad region.

Restrictions in airspace caused a major transportation crisis for passengers. As a result, several flights were delayed, and some were completely canceled or diverted to alternate airports.

The most tense situation unfolded near the port of Ust-Luga, which serves as a key terminal for the export of Russian energy resources.

At 5 a.m., shelling began in the port area, accompanied by intense flashes and the sounds of explosions.

As a reminder, drones attacked oil infrastructure in the Leningrad region.

Russia attacked energy infrastructure with drones, leaving seven regions without power.

In the Krasnodarregion, drones attacked a compressor station.

On the night of April 2, a massive fire broke out at an oil refinery in the Russian city of Ufa following a drone attack.

According to analysis of photos and videos from local residents, the Bashneft-Novoyl plant, which is part of Rosneft, was hit.
