Russia shelled Kherson, causing deaths and injuries
On the morning of 4 March, Russia again shelled Kherson. As a result of the attack, a 76-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were killed.
This was reported by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram.
“Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the war crime that caused the deaths of civilians,” the statement reads.
According to investigators, on 4 March 2026, at approximately 09:05, Russian servicemen shelled an intersection in Kherson. The victims were on the street in the Dniprovskiy district of the city.
The Kherson Military and Regional Administrations also reported injuries during the morning attacks. Around 08:00, a Russian drone struck a vehicle in central Kherson, injuring a 47-year-old man with concussive and blast trauma.
Around 09:00, the enemy struck the Dniprovskiy district. A 69-year-old man sustained an explosive injury and shrapnel wounds to his leg and was hospitalized for medical treatment.
Earlier on the morning of 4 March, Russian occupiers carried out an attack on Mykolaiv using strike drones. According to preliminary reports, one drone hit near a passenger train car.
Throughout the day, Russian forces attacked the Kamianske, Synelnykove, Samarivka, and Nikopol districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region over ten times with drones and artillery, damaging civilian infrastructure.
In the same 24-hour period, Russian troops carried out 624 strikes on 36 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, injuring two people in the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts.
Additionally, on 3 March, Russian occupiers launched a strike with a Geran-2 drone on Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region.
As a reminder, Russia has targeted Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, causing power outages, and also attacked Odesa region with drones, damaging port facilities.
