In Kyiv, approximately 60 cars were completely destroyed by fire during a large-scale Russian attack, and two security guards lost their lives
In the Obolon district of Kyiv, as a result of a nighttime attack on April 16, 2026, a strike hit an area with car dealerships. The center of the explosion was located at a site with new vehicles. Around 60 cars were completely burned, while many others were damaged by debris or had their windows shattered. The buildings of the car dealerships, as well as a nearby gas station, sustained significant damage and are currently not operating.
Two security guards were killed at the site. They had begun their shift only one hour before the strike occurred. Their names were Yurii and Serhii, both approximately 60 years old. In total, four guards were working that night. The other two survived because they had stepped away to rest at the moment of the explosion. Colleagues describe the victims as kind and helpful individuals who were always ready to assist others.
At present, employees of the car dealerships are unable to access their workplaces. The area has been secured, and investigative actions are ongoing to document another war crime.

It is worth recalling that the number of people killed as a result of a large-scale drone attack on Odesa on January 27 rose to four. An elderly man died in the hospital from his injuries.
On the night of January 29, Russia carried out a strike on Odesa using attack drones, causing a fire at one of the industrial facilities.
It is also recalled that the enemy attacked an infrastructure facility in Odesa with drones.
