Three restaurants in Yucatán received the Bib Gourmand—an award recognizing value for money. Among them, the source mentions Taquería Kisín in Mérida. A Bib Gourmand is not a Michelin star: stars recognize culinary excellence, while the Bib Gourmand is awarded for offering good value to diners.

In the 2026 selection, there are no establishments in Yucatán with a Michelin Green Star. The region’s cuisine is known for its use of recado rojo paste—made with achiote, sour oranges, and habanero peppers—and the dish cochinita pibil.
